On Monday we went to Orkney Auction Mart with our friends from Class 2T. It was a long walk but we all did really well. On the way we saw boats coming into the pier and baby lambs in the fields.
First we went to the balcony to see the cattle that were for sale. We asked lots of interesting questions about farming and farm animals.
Then we went to the ring to watch some of the cattle being sold. The auctioneer talked really fast and we found it hard to understand what he was saying. We all watched mezmorised!

I enjoyed going to the mart and seeing the cows being sold, I was just glad that none of the P2's managed to buy one. You all did very well to walk there and back without too much complaining. Well done everyone! Caroline(Erin R (P2T's) mum).
ReplyDeleteWe wish we were there with you it looks like a really interesting trip. When you got back your legs must have been tired. Was it only Cows that were selling at the mart? Please let us know .
